Well, you know the entry I made on 2 Cor 4:8-9 in my blog this week. It is great how God's Word sometimes soothes the wounded soul immediately and other times you read a Word and chew on it for a while maybe even shelve it. Then something happens that causes the Holy Spirit to recall to your mind the Words He has given you in previous days.
This is just one reason why scripture reading, study, and memorization is so vitally important to Spiritual growth, health and guidance through physical life in this troubled place.
Today, Deb awoke from her migraine rescue shot two days ago and is still hurting. She has been up off and on since her shot, but mostly down. She will have to go back for another. On top of that continued battle in my home, now we have heard from her best friend. Deb's best friend has had major cervical spine fusion surgery in the last year on two cervical vertebrae and now has two slipped discs in two other cervical vertebrae. As if that was not enough good news, they also informed her she would be referred to an oncologist because of something seen on her lungs. Everyone is upset, freaking out, and I find myself recalling verses I have read this week and applying them to these situations.
Thank you Lord for being with us and never leaving or forsaking us on our journey through this often troubled life.
Post Script: Also this week, I have learned of a friend of ours in Arkansas who has had a new baby this week and the baby was transferred to Children's for intensive care treatment of a lung infection. This is just a risk that can happen on any birth. But James and family, you are also in my prayers. Can't wait to see momma holding that new baby.
